DRAFT — for attorney review before launch. Version 2026-08-25-draft.

RoadKept is an educational and recordkeeping tool for self-employed drivers. By using it you agree that: (1) the service provides general educational information and record organization, not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and no professional–client relationship is created; (2) you are responsible for the accuracy of the records you enter and for your own tax filings; (3) paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial that requires a card, and unless you cancel before it ends your card is charged and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled in Account & Plan, with a 14-day refund window on charges; (4) you will not misuse the service, attempt to access others' data, or use automated systems to abuse the AI features; (5) the service is provided as-is, and our liability is limited to amounts you paid in the prior 12 months.

Discounts, codes and credits. A promotional code or a free-access grant reduces what you pay for a stated period only. Before you pay we tell you the discounted amount, the amount you will be charged once the discount ends, and the date it ends; we email you again at least seven days before that date, and you can cancel at any time in Account & Plan. A discount does not change the plan price your subscription is locked to — when it ends, your subscription returns to the price you started on. Codes are one to an account, cannot be combined, are not redeemable for cash and have no cash value; we may stop issuing or accepting a code at any time, and withdrawing a code never removes a discount already applied to your subscription. A free-access grant runs for the period we tell you and then bills at your plan price unless you cancel first. If a charge at the end of a discount is not what you expected, tell us within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it.

RoadKept does not prepare or file tax returns, and does not represent anyone before the IRS or any state authority. The year-end report is a summary of the records you entered, formatted for you or your preparer to work from.

You can export everything you have entered, or delete your account and its records, at any time in Account & Plan. When you delete, you choose: we can erase everything on or after a date 30 days out, which gives you time to change your mind and which you can cancel at any point before it, or we can erase everything immediately. Either way deletion is permanent once it happens — there is no undo and no backup we can restore you from. Choosing the 30-day option never delays an immediate erasure: the immediate option is always available in the same place.

If you give someone read-only access to your records, you can end it at any time and it also ends by itself on the date you set. Ending it stops any further access — it does not and cannot retrieve files they downloaded while the access was live. RoadKept does not verify anyone's professional credentials, and giving someone access does not make them our agent or create any relationship between them and us.
