One price, and it stays yours.
The Free plan is $0 and needs no card. Pro is $7 a month or $69 a year, with a 14-day trial. The price you join at is the price you keep for as long as your subscription stays active — written down below in the same five clauses the app shows you after you pay, because a promise you have to go looking for is not one.
Free
$0 no card
- Set-aside calculator
- 10 Tax Copilot questions a month
- 5 receipt scans a month
Pro

- Year-end Schedule C report — PDF & Excel
Pro starts with a 14-day free trial that needs a card and renews automatically unless you cancel before it ends. The Free plan never asks for one. The free tier's 10 Tax Copilot questions and 5 receipt scans reset on the 1st of each month.
The price lock, in writing
Subscription prices in this category have a habit of going up on the people already paying them. These are the five clauses RoadKept holds itself to. They are the same text the app shows in Account & Plan, and your locked rate is read from your own subscription record, not from this page.
- The price you start on is the price you keep. If RoadKept's price goes up, it applies to new subscribers only.
- Switching plans moves you to today's price for the plan you switch to — monthly to annual, or back again.
- A failed card is not a cancellation. We keep trying for 30 days and you keep Pro the whole time.
- Your locked price ends when your subscription does. If you cancel and come back later, you come back at the price of the day you return.
- Everything Pro does today stays in Pro at your price. We will not move a feature you already pay for behind a higher tier.
The lock is real and it is conditional: it ends when the subscription does. Taxes, optional add-ons and plan changes are treated as the Terms set out.
What you keep whether or not you pay
Pro adds things. It does not take things away, and neither does cancelling it.
- Every mile, payout and deduction you have logged, in every year — there is no history limit on either plan
- The set-aside estimate, and each quarter's amount, computed from your own records
- The Savings Finder, unlimited, because it answers from a fixed deduction list rather than the AI
- Your complete data as JSON and your mileage log as CSV, any time
Questions drivers ask
How much does RoadKept cost?
The Free plan is $0 and needs no card: the set-aside calculator, up to 10 AI questions a month, and up to 5 receipt scans a month, with the counts resetting on the 1st. Pro is $7/month or $69/year and adds quarterly deadline alerts with your own amounts, unlimited AI questions and receipt scans, multi-app tracking, and the year-end Schedule C report. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial that needs a card and renew automatically unless you cancel. Confirm the price and renewal terms shown at checkout.
Will my price go up later?
No. The price you join at is the price you keep, for as long as your subscription stays active without a lapse. If we ever raise prices it applies to new subscribers only. Taxes, optional add-ons, changing plan, or cancelling and resubscribing later are treated separately, as the Terms set out.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — in Account & Plan, before your next renewal. Cancelling stops future renewal charges and you keep access through the end of the billing period you have paid for, unless the Terms say otherwise. Paid plans begin on the trial and renewal terms shown at checkout, and refund requests are handled under the refund policy linked from the Terms.
What happens to my records if I cancel Pro?
You keep them. Cancelling stops future renewal charges and you keep Pro access to the end of the period you have paid for, after which the account continues on the free plan with every year you have logged still there. Receipt and odometer photos you already stored stay readable and deletable; what stops is adding new ones, along with the year-end report and the other Pro items. Both data exports stay free.
Do I need Pro to do my taxes?
No. The free plan tracks mileage, income and deductions, produces the set-aside estimate, and exports your complete data as JSON and your mileage log as CSV. Pro adds the year-end Schedule C report and its four preparer-ready exports, which save assembling those figures yourself. Neither plan files a return or replaces a preparer.
How it compares
Each comparison quotes the other product's own pricing page with the day we read it, feature by feature, and says plainly where RoadKept is behind.
